The Motto of the orphanage is Venerate Vitam. It is Latin Language meaning Respect Life.
The orphanage is managed by Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Majority of those kids are from poor underprivileged families which are abandoned by their parents because they are born blind.
As the motto goes, most donors who visit this orphanage are also inspired by the blind orphan children, with all the limitations they have, they are able to navigate life with such grace, overcoming their challenges to walk confidently, engage in conversations, recognise voices, sing, and independently accomplish various tasks.
Apart from learning Bahasa Indonesia, those blind orphan children are also taught to sing and compose poetry in Latin language.
The blind kids will sing and read poetry for donors that visit them in the orphanage. It serves as a reminder to appreciate the blessings in our own lives and maintain a positive outlook as we navigate our journey.
Some of the donation supplies that may be particularly beneficial for orphanages catering to blind orphan children include educational materials such as Braille books, tactile learning materials, audio books, and educational toys designed for blind children can support their learning and development.
